CMA-CGM Melisande Spent a rainy day at Pier 41 yesterday moving cargo – but rather then sailing, she moved to pier 36. (Pier 41 is hosting Colombo Express on her return leg) She hosted a customer event of some sort today, and is scheduled to sail this afternoon.

Another large container ship, the OOCL Southampton is due today. At 8063 TEU she is slightly smaller then Hapag-Llyods or CMA-CGM appearances of late, but is the largest OOCL vessel to call in Halifax to date. She is currently inbound Photos to Follow.

The French Naval vessel Fulmar tied up at tall ships quay today. She is a converted fishing trawler, and patrols the french waters off St Pierre and Miquelon.
Due in port today is the Colombo Express. When Built in 2005, as the lead ship in the class, she was the largest container ship in the World at 8700 TEU. She was so impressive Revel released a 1/700 scale model of her at the time. (the model is 18″
Cable ship Responder briefly put in to pier 9, departing this morning for her home base in Baltimore. She appears to be returning form some North Atlantic work, and was last noted passing Newfoundland on the 29th.
