CNN is repoting that the Tall ship Bounty, Built in Lunenburg in 1960 as a replica of the HMS Bounty, is without power and Adrift 160NM East of the Eye of Hurricane Sandy. She is apparently taking on water. winds on scene are reported to be 30 knots, seas 18ft.
Marine Atlantic Ferry Atlantic Vision Arrived yesterday for the Nova Dock for a work period. In the AfterNoon, before she was lifted on the Dock, a Fire broke out aboard requiring that 2 people be sent to Hospital. No word on the cause, though it may have been caused by
HMCS Toronto returning to the dockyard after excercising in the basin.
The Caporal Kaeble VC Left the Dock for the first time today for some builders trials. SHe spent the Morning in the Basin before returning to Pier 9b. She is scheduled to return to the basin this afternoon.
The Queen Mary 2 Arrived this Morning, and Backed into Pier 22. Crystal Symphony is Occupying Pier 20. There are now 3 ships remaining this year – Brilliance of the Seas on the 28th, and Seven Seas Navigator and Emerald Princess on the 30th
General Cargo Vessel STATENGRACHT arrived last night. She appears to be loading Heavy Equipment parts that arrived earlier by Rail. She Has an interesting Configuration, with 2 cranes on the Port Side, and a Single Crane, and 2 Cargo Elevators on the Starboard. STATENGRACHT was built in 2004.
With Kometik Sailing around 10am for Hiberina, It is now Mattea’s turn for bunkers. They arrived at Anchorage 1 overnight.
