OOCL Italy arrived over the noon hour bound for Fairview Cove. Her last port was Cagliari, Italy. Built in 2007 in Japan, the ship is Registered in Singapore. She sailed as Vietnam Express from April 2010 to April 2013, and stopped in Halifax under that name. The tugs Atlantic Larch
OOCL Luxembourg made a stop last night, sailing around 11pm. Built in 2010, she is part of OOCL’s SX class, and carries 8063 TEU.
Another Biggie, OOCL Washington spent the day at Fairview Cove yesterday. She comes in at 8063 TEU, and will likely stop at Halterm on the return westbound leg.
Another large container ship, the OOCL Southampton is due today. At 8063 TEU she is slightly smaller then Hapag-Llyods or CMA-CGM appearances of late, but is the largest OOCL vessel to call in Halifax to date. She is currently inbound Photos to Follow.

it looks like Halifax Regular Italy Express, has returned from a work period, and has returned to her pre Hapag Llyoyd name of OOCL Vancouver. Hapag-Lloyd and OOCL operate a shared service to Halifax. Some OOCL Vessels on the service were operated by Hapag-Lloyd and therefore took Hapag-Llyod “express” names.
Another First Caller for Halifax, OOCL Netherlands called on the PAX service. SHe was built in 1997. Hapag Lloyds London Express is still at the pier.
APL today issued a release announcing a new service to Halifax. The G6 Alliance started in March 2012 to provide service in the Asia-to-Europe trade and will now be expanded to cover the Asia-to-North America East Coast trade. The members are: APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon
