(Top) Canada Express (Middle) Heads outbound from Fairview Cove. San Francisco Express (Bottom) backs in after waitting at anchor in the basin. Both Ships were delayed over the weekend by weather. Maersk Patras Tied up at Pier 42 this morning. She normally calls on Saturdays.

The Container Ship VIETNAM EXPRESS has been in Halifax since 0830 on September 8th. Given that container ships typically stop for a few Hours, there is some sort of issue going on. Its possible/probable there is a mechanical issue, though it is also posible Vietnam Express has been detained due
OOCL Kuala Lumpur at Fairview Cove. She is another new caller this year. Hapag Lloyd has added numerous new vessels this year, making Fairview Cove more interesting so far this year.

OOCL Shanghai, Currently at anchor in the outer anchorage, is due tomorrow for Fairview. She is a new vessel server the the OOCL/Hapag-llyod Pacific East Coast Express service. With Atlantic Compass entering the Narrows outbound, OOCL Antwerp and Oakland Express Had to wait in the inner harbour for her to pass. Large vessels are restricted one direction at a time due to the Narrow passage to avoid collisions. (This rule came into effect as a result of the
AFL New England and Sichem Beijing Both arrived and went directly to anchor. Presumably the winds were too high to Tie up. OOCL Hong Kong, being considerably larger was able to tie up Without Issue.
