Reports are that the small cruise ship Saint Laurent is taking on water in a lock on the seaway. She was bound for Toronto. Saint Laurent visited Halifax last week. The ship appears to be in the lock which suggests she bumped the side entering the lock. More details to

Today brought Crystal Symphony to Pier 20, with Veendam at pier 22. This makes today the first 2 ship cruise day of the year.

Todays arrival of Explorer of the seas was the result of a weather related change in schedule. I had assumed this was the case when i discovered her arrival listed, but not appearing on the schedule. This led me to believe a trip to Newfoundland was adjusted due to weather.
The first of RCCL’s Vision Class, She went into service in 1995. Of the 6 vision class vessels, she is the 3rd to visit halifax, the others being Grandeur of the Seas & Enchantment of the Seas
Celebrity Summit was due to sail yesterday evening, but instead moved to anchorage one, then took a tug around 10 pm and went to Pier 33 for repairs. She sailed this Morning. Taking a tug suggests an issue with propulsion or steering.
