APL Coral Arrived on the G6 service today and tied up at the west pier of Fairview Cove. On arrival, she tied up port side to the pier, which is opposite of normal, however makes for better photographs. (For comparison, See our Singapore Express Post.)

Todays arrival brought another NYK Vessel, NYK Daedalus. Built in Korea in 2007, she is rated at 4800TEU.
Panamax Container ship Singapore Express tied up this evening. She arrived form Southampton, UK, and will be bound for New York on Departure.
NYK Meteor arrived this morning from Rotterdam. She will Sail overnight for NewYork as part of the G6 Service. Built in 2007, she is registered in Panama, and carries 4800TEU.

With Hapag-Llyods recent merger with CSAV, we now seem to be getting a regular stream of CSAV Vessels on the PA1 Service. this may continue, or it may simply be a matter of the line shifing its ships as newbuilds come on line. Today brought the arrival of CSAV Lluta.

This morning brought the arrival of the Bahri Jazan, another first visit for the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia Newbuild. Unlike all the previous newbuilds for Bahri, Jazan does not share the name of a predecessor who stopped in Halifax.
Todays G6 Arrival to fairview cove is the Virgina, formerly APL Virginia. Owned by NSC Schiffahrts GmbH, she is of the same yard and Design as Zim Haifa, Zim Beijing and Zim Savannah, all of which are regular callers in Halifax. She was built in 2005. Photo to follow.
