The 16,000 BHP vessel was delivered on 7 February 2014 in <br \/>Singapore and was christened the \u201cAtlantic Merlin\u201d at a naming ceremony held earlier <br \/>today. She was previously known as \u201cJaya Sovereign\u201d until her delivery to Atlantic <br \/>Towing. Atlantic Merlin is a sister ship of \u201cAtlantic Kestrel\u201d, which was delivered to <br \/>Atlantic Towing in November 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The Purchase was announced in <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.halifaxshippingnews.ca\/2013\/06\/atlantic-towing-buys-second-vessel-from.html\">June 2013 <\/a>but was indicated earlier <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.halifaxshippingnews.ca\/2013\/03\/atlantic-towing-buys-atlantic-kestrals.html\">in march<\/a>.
