He was part of an elite<br \/>\n navy group that specializes in neutralizing bombs \u2013 underwater and on<br \/>\nland \u2013 based at the Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic in Halifax.<\/p>\n<p>Over 500 names were submitted in the fall of 2014, during the first<br \/>\nphase of the ferry naming contest. This was narrowed down to six<br \/>\nfinalists by a selection committee for voting consideration by<br \/>\nresidents.<br \/>\nHalifax Transit will submit the vessel name, Craig Blake, to<br \/>\nTransport Canada for approval as the name of our newest harbour ferry,<br \/>\nset to go into service this summer. The new passenger ferry will replace<br \/>\n one of the existing ferry vessels and will bring more continuity and<br \/>\nefficiency to the harbour ferry service.
