{"id":2098,"date":"2009-02-22T15:56:00","date_gmt":"2009-02-22T15:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=2098"},"modified":"2009-02-22T15:56:00","modified_gmt":"2009-02-22T15:56:00","slug":"what-does-it-cost-to-port-in-halifax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=2098","title":{"rendered":"What Does it Cost To Port in Halifax?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever wonder how much it costs to anchor in the Harbour, Or order a Pilot, or Tugs?<br \/>The Halifax Port Authority has all this information in the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.portofhalifax.ca\/downloads\/TariffNotice2008.pdf\"> Tarrifs List.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.portofhalifax.ca\/downloads\/SummaryofPortTariffs-2008.pdf\">from the Summary:<\/a><br \/><b>Harbour Dues<\/b> $0.0531 per gross registered tonnage (grt) per vessel entry;<br \/> $0.0265 per grt for Canadian flagged. <br \/><b>Berthage<\/b> Assessed at $0.0457 per grt per 12 hour period or part thereof up to 24 hours;<br \/> each succeeding 12 hour period or part thereof assessed at $0.0276. <br \/>Berthage is capped at 40,000 grt.<br \/><b>Anchorage<\/b> After the seven days, assessed at $0.0115 per grt per 12 hour period or part thereof up to 24 hours; <br \/>each succeeding 12 hour period or part thereof assessed at $0.0068. <br \/><b>Passenger Charges<\/b> In respect of continuous voyages or for voyages originating or terminating at the Port, charges are <br \/>as follows: <\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>For each passenger $7.850 \n<li>For each vehicle $9.332 <\/ul>\n<p><b>Pilotage<\/b><br \/> administered by the Atlantic Pilotage Authority.  <br \/> One way trip:  $482 basic charge, plus $2.05 per unit.
