{"id":1634,"date":"2012-06-06T18:21:00","date_gmt":"2012-06-06T18:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=1634"},"modified":"2012-06-06T18:21:00","modified_gmt":"2012-06-06T18:21:00","slug":"halifax-class-mid-life-refit-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=1634","title":{"rendered":"Halifax Class Mid Life Refit update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nThe refit (tecnically the<span style=\"font-size: small;\"> Halifax-Class Modernization (HCM) \/ Frigate Life Extension (FELEX) programs) <\/span>on HMCS Halifax is coming along nicely.&nbsp; She has been tied up at the machine shop wharf for several months now, and Parts of her new kit are Starting to become visible.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nThe refit Programs will include a new command and control system, new radar<br \/>\n          capability, a new electronic warfare system and upgraded communications and<br \/>\n          missiles. Separate refit and stand-alone projects will include installation of new<br \/>\n          mechanical systems and modifications to accommodate the new Cyclone helicopters and<br \/>\n          a new military satellite communications system. <\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nNew Fire Control Radar Aft, on the forward part of the Hanger.
