HMM designed Saint John Shipyard\u2019s buildings and<br \/>\ninfrastructure; they have also managed and designed marine projects at the Fairview Cove Container Terminal, Department of<br \/>\nNational Defence Halifax, and<br \/>\nEastern Passage Autoport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Hatch Mott MacDonald has 40 employees &#8211;<br \/>\nprimarily engineers and specialists &#8211; in Nova Scotia today.&nbsp; With this<br \/>\ncontract, the company expects to grow to about 65 engineers and<br \/>\nspecialists to complete the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy<br \/>\nyard modernization plans at Halifax Shipyard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The program presents significant challenges to ISI and the consulting<br \/>\nteam.&nbsp; In order to meet delivery, schedule, and financial obligations,<br \/>\nISI must prepare their facility to achieve the goal of beginning<br \/>\nproduction of the first set of vessels in late 2013, and provide a<br \/>\nquality product in the most efficient manner possible.&nbsp; This will<br \/>\nrequire extensive facility modernization including new buildings,<br \/>\nbuilding renovations, new marine infrastructure, a new ship erection<br \/>\nplatform, and extensive site works.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>For More See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jdirving.com\/article.aspx?id=3748\">ISI&#8217;s release<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hatchmott.com\/news\/2012\/10\/19\/hmm-team-selected-irving-shipbuilding-redevelopment-halifax-shipyard\">HMM&#8217;s&nbsp;<\/a><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISI Anounced today that enginering for 300 million in yard upgrades would be done by Hatch Mott MacDonald Engineering.
