{"id":1463,"date":"2012-11-20T13:05:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-20T13:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=1463"},"modified":"2012-11-20T13:05:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-20T13:05:00","slug":"rcn-usn-joint-task-group-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rescuenotes.ca\/?p=1463","title":{"rendered":"RCN &#038; USN Joint Task Group Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four of Her Majesty&#8217;s Canadian Ships from the Atlantic Fleet will be<br \/>\nparticipating in a joint international exercise with the United States<br \/>\nNavy from November 19 to December 14, off the East Coasts of Canada and<br \/>\nUnited States called Task Group Exercise 6-12.<\/p>\n<p> Royal Canadian Navy will work with the North American Aerospace Defense<br \/>\n Command (NORAD) to combine the Task Group Exercise with the NORAD Air<br \/>\nDefence Exercise Amalgam Dart to further enhance interoperability and<br \/>\neffectiveness between the Royal Canadian Navy and NORAD. The high tempo<br \/>\ntraining will provide valuable experience to our sailors in a wide range<br \/>\n of at-sea evolutions, to include navigation and seamanship, helicopter<br \/>\noperations, and warfare exercises. Furthermore, Amalgam Dart will<br \/>\nprovide an excellent opportunity to train in ship-to-air and air-to-air<br \/>\ndefence.<\/p>\n<p>Units participating in Task Group Exercise 6-12 and<br \/>\nAmalgam Dart are Her Majesty&#8217;s Canadian Ships Iroquois, Preserver, Ville<br \/>\n de Quebec and St. John&#8217;s.
